Britney Spears says she burned her hair and eyelashes in a fiery accident – NBC New York

Britney Spears tells of a “dangerous” experience earlier this year that almost landed her in the emergency room.

The pop singer shared an update on September 30 in which she detailed a painful moment six months ago when she burned to death by her fireplace.

“I was in my room turning on the fire and suddenly it exploded in my face,” the 42-year-old said in the video. “When it did that before, I stopped so my security guards would always come in and light it for me because I was afraid it would explode.”

But unfortunately, while lighting the fireplace alone, Spears lost some of her hair.

“This time I just threw the whole thing in and it blew into my face and ripped all my eyelashes and eyebrows off,” she continued. “And see that baby hair? Those baby bangs? This is from six months ago. It ruined all my hair.”

The “Baby One More Time” singer then explained that she feared she might have to go to the hospital, saying: “The person I was with didn’t wake up and I thought I had to go to the emergency room, because my face was on fire.”

Spears also described the panic she felt at that moment, fearing she would be severely burned because “just touching her face hurt.”

After “six or seven hours” of discomfort from her injuries, the “Toxic” singer was able to relieve her pain.

“I ended up taking three Tylenol,” Spears said. “This is a really, really big deal for me. It’s like a f—— Vicodin or something. But I took three and eventually fell asleep.”

And while the “Gimme More” singer didn’t reveal whether she ended up going to the hospital, she insisted she’s doing better now.

“It was really bad, but everything is good now,” Spears explained. “It’s happening.”

Britney Spears is now safe at home following an incident at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood on Wednesday night.
