According to news agency ANI, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha said that Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata. He had been keeping his licensed revolver in its case when it fell from his hand and a bullet was fired, striking his leg. Shashi added that the doctor removed the bullet and his condition was fine. He’s in the hospital right now.

ANI earlier reported that Govinda is currently hospitalized at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. Police are investigating the incident after confiscating his weapon. There is a lot of chatter online about the actor’s injury, especially given the strange circumstances of his injury.

Govinda, one of the most popular Bollywood stars of the 90s. After starting his Bollywood career as an action hero in the 80s, Govinda turned to comedy in the mid-90s.
