1 dead, 2 injured in Bed-Stuy playground shooting – NBC New York

A man was killed and two others were injured after gunfire broke out at a Brooklyn playground, police said.

The shooting began just after 5 p.m. Monday along Lafayette Avenue near Franklin Avenue in Bed-Stuy, police said. The suspect fired the bullets into the playground and then fled.

At Methodist Hospital, a man was shot in the head and pronounced dead. The other two men suffered life-threatening injuries when they were hit in the stomach.

The suspect has not yet been caught. An investigation is ongoing.
