Gulfport police arrest a group of suspects for attacking the victim in Jones Park

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – Gulfport Police announced the arrest of a group of suspects for assault and serious injury to a victim.

On Sunday, September 22, at approximately 2:47 a.m., Gulfport Police were called to Jones Park in response to an assault.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult victim who was seriously injured.

Witnesses with cell phone videos of the incident said the victim was physically attacked by a group of suspects who fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The suspects were armed with a pistol while stealing items from the victim.

Four suspects were arrested with the public’s help and charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery:

  • Kadin Jacob Walker, 20, of Bay St. Louis, was arrested on Friday, September 27th.
  • Samuel David Dwyer, 19, of Waveland, was arrested on Friday, September 27th.
  • 19-year-old Ayden Paul Christophe of Bay St. Louis was arrested on Monday, September 30th.
  • 19-year-old Benny Ray Williams III of Waveland was arrested Monday, September 30th.

After processing, all four suspects were transported to the Harrison County Adult Jail on $500,000 bail.
