Man arrested in stabbing

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a man for stabbing someone multiple times.

According to Sally Smith, public information specialist for the Jonesboro Police Department, the stabbing occurred on Sunday, September 29, on Matthews Avenue.

Smith said a victim came to St. Bernards Medical Center with multiple stab wounds around 8 p.m.

Police spoke with witnesses who identified the suspect as 32-year-old Juan Antonio Bautista-Campos.

Campos was later arrested on Monday, September 30 and is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.

He faces a charge of first-degree battery.
