One person arrested after Nob Hill shooting

YAKIMA, Wash. – One person has been arrested following a shooting near the Starbucks on Nob Hill Boulevard.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., Yakima Police responded to reports of a shooting at the corner of Nob Hill Boulevard and First Avenue. When they arrived, they found a car that looked like it had been shot. There were also bullet casings on the ground.

After speaking with witnesses, Yakima Police officers determined that a chase had occurred from a nearby cannabis store that led them to the scene of the shooting.

Witnesses also said they made signs with their hands, but they did not know whether they were gang-related or not.

Police found a man who was in the car, which was found on the side of Nob Hill Boulevard, hiding in a supplies complex next to the Starbucks.

The vehicle carrying the person who shot at the car found during the incident has not yet been identified.
