Domestic violence suspect arrested in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD – A Springfield man is facing domestic violence charges following an early morning incident Sunday.

Zachary D. Carpenter was arrested after police responded to a 911 call at 2:07 a.m. Sept. 22 reporting a domestic disturbance at 35 Chester Road.

Officer Callahan of the Springfield Police Department investigated the scene and took Carpenter into custody without incident.

He was transported to the police station for processing.

Carpenter was issued conditions of release and a criminal summons to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit at 12:30 p.m. on September 23 to answer the domestic violence charge.

He was later sent to the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
