The search for a young Australian woman who disappeared from her home more than three days ago has had a tragic outcome.

ACT Police have appealed for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Mathilde Innes Pouliquin, who was last seen in the Canberra suburb of Dixon on Friday, September 27.

Police urged Canberrans to be on the lookout for Ms Pouliquin, who was described as Caucasian with a slim build and dark curly hair.

There was great concern for their welfare.

It was not known what clothing she was wearing when she left home, but she was driving a red/maroon Volkswagen Golf hatchback with ACT registration number YOP57Z.

The car is characterized by significant hail damage.
