Woman dies in accident in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) – A Seminole woman died Sunday afternoon after a car accident five miles north of Wewoka.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, the 18-year-old was driving west on State Highway 9 when she crossed the center line, overcorrected, left the road and struck a tree.

She was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
