COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Columbus Monday afternoon, police reported.

Around 4 p.m., authorities received a call about the incident near Veterans Parkway

The crash led to the closure of a portion of Veterans Parkway north of Whitesville Road while emergency responders responded.
