Teen arrested after shots were fired

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A 17-year-old was arrested following a shooting report over the weekend.

On Saturday, September 28, Bowling Green Police responded to a shots fired call in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street.

No injuries were reported, but several homes were hit by gunfire.

In a social media post, officers reviewed video surveillance during the investigation, which captured an involved vehicle leaving the scene.

Officers found the vehicle later that day and interviewed its occupants.

As a result, a 17-year-old male was arrested for shooting a woman on Chestnut Street.

BGPD believes the shooting was the result of a dispute between two groups that were known to each other.

Other people involved in the shooting have been identified. Additional fees may apply.

The investigation is ongoing.
