A thief wearing a shirt that said “Essentials” decided he needed a Carolina Herrera scent Highland Park Village around 4:18 p.m. on September 27, but apparently didn’t think he would have to pay for it.

UNIVERSITY PARK

24 Tuesday

A tire cutter punctured the rear tires of a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan before 9:50 a.m Hillcrest Ave.

25 Wednesday

Reported at 1:15 p.m.: A miscreant stole a Tecovas wallet, a Canon camera and lens, and a camera bag from a 2022 Cadillac at Hillstone Restaurant on August 12th The Plaza at Preston Center.

26 Thursday

Report at 11:18 p.m.: After a serious accident, a woman was arrested for trespassing and evading arrest Preston Rd with her 2015 Nissan and a 2013 Mitsubishi.

27 Friday

A sneaky thief broke into a locked 2020 Lexus NX Fondren Drive around 5:11 p.m. and stole a gym bag, Beats headphones and gym clothes.

A fraudster stole a wallet, cash, debit cards, insurance cards, a social security card and a driver’s license from a locked 2017 Mercedes-Benz around 6:09 p.m Fondren Drive.

A perpetrator with an unfortunate habit disappeared from a Shell gas station in the US with a Geek Bar Pulse disposable vaporizer 4400 block of Lovers Lane around 8:32 p.m

Report at 9:23 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an offender who had been drinking alcohol McFarlin Blvd.

A sneaky thief made his way with a sign around 9:36 p.m Turtle Creek Blvd.

At around 10:40 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and reported a juvenile for underage drinking Haynie Ave.

28 Saturday

A troublemaker caused between $750 and $2,500 in damage Amherst St around 6:30 a.m

One or more bicycle thieves stole a blue Trek 1.2 Alpha bicycle and a teal Huffy bicycle Emerson Ave around 2:22 p.m

An opportunist thief stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle Snider Plaza between 2:28 p.m. and 2:31 p.m

29 Sunday

A voracious thief stole a black Supreme mesh bag from a 2016 Dodge Challenger at Cafe Brazil 6400 block of North Central Expressway around 12:27 p.m

The Honda EU2200i generator is advertised as lightweight and portable, so it must have been easy for a thief to break into an unlocked 2006 Casita travel trailer San Carlos Drive around 1:39 p.m. and carry one off.

23 Monday

Reported at 5:40 p.m unknown location: A woman’s son used her credit cards without her permission and may have used her information to open new card accounts.

Reported at 11:08 p.m.: A scammer apparently paid a woman 3500 block of Normandy Avenue She paid $1,500 to use her likeness to paint a portrait and then asked for the money back. The scammer’s methods escalated to include death threats, including pictures of dead people and people with guns.

24 Tuesday

At approximately 4:57 a.m., officers arrested a man on a warrant, probation violation and possession of a controlled substance 4600 block of Westside Drive.

26 Thursday

Police arrested a man around 3:25 a.m. on a traffic violation, expired registration, invalid driver’s license, possession of a controlled substance and multiple warrants 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane.

27 Friday

Around 1:43 a.m., police arrested a man for drunk driving 4500 block of Abbott Avenue.
