Popular television and film actor Jason Sudeikis was followed by fans and paparazzi alike as he attempted to leave the Dynasty Typewriter Comedy Club in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

As a special guest at a book launch that evening, Sudeikis exited the club and walked into a frantic group of 15 to 20 people who had reportedly been waiting for hours to get a glimpse of the 49-year-old.

Video obtained from TMZ showed Sudeikis – who looks like an average person with a green backpack slung over his shoulder – trying to break away from a crowd of supporters as he walked down the street.

In the video, someone walking slightly ahead of the actor can be heard asking for a photo.

The media reports that Sudeikis initially signed a few autographs before he was bombed. Finally, an exhausted and frightened Sudeikis turned around and pleaded with his followers to give it up.

“Please stop. Stop it! I won’t sign anything, okay? I literally have to go. I’m sorry,” the former “Saturday Night Live” star pleaded. “That was a lot. That scared the crap out of me,” he continued, likely referring to the crowd outside the comedy club.

“Seriously, I’m only human. Please stop, please. I’m going – I’m going home. Good night, okay? I’m sorry. OK?”

A representative for Sudeikis did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Sudeikis isn’t the first “Ted Lasso” star to express discomfort with how they’ve been treated in public. This spring, actress Hannah Waddingham didn’t mince her words with a photographer who she said made an inappropriate comment about her while posing for photos at the Olivier Awards, where the Brit was hosting.

A video captured by a fan and shared with Fox News Digital showed her posing for photos outside before becoming visibly distressed by something outside the frame.

“Oh my God, you would never say that to a man, my friend,” Waddingham is heard saying. “Don’t be an idiot. Otherwise I’ll turn away. Don’t say, ‘Show me the legs,'” she said.

After the incident, the actress, now 50, walked down the stairs shaking her head, much to the delight of onlookers who seemed irritated by her comments. Before descending another flight of stairs, Waddingham appeared to exchange further words with the photographer, albeit briefly. It is not clear what was said.
