Police Blotter: September 8 – September 21 – The Dickinson Press

DICKINSON – Over the past two weeks, Dickinson law enforcement responded to a variety of incidents, including multiple hit-and-run accidents, reports of thefts, domestic violence and drug crimes.

Multiple arrests were made for outstanding warrants, reckless driving, burglary and other criminal activity. Notable events included a suspected drug deal interrupted by a good Samaritan, a death discovered on a city street, and young children wandering unattended through a neighborhood.

It is important to note that all individuals named in these reports are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

September 8th

3:46am: Officers were called to Dakota Boulevard for a report of a man lying in a parking lot. When they arrived, they found a man sleeping peacefully on the grass. After waking him up, he said he didn’t need help and went home alone.

11:39 am: A truck and a motorcycle collided on 15th Street W, sending one man to the emergency room with injuries.

12:17 p.m: Corey Stogner, 53, of Dickinson, was arrested on Fourth Avenue W on several outstanding warrants in Stark County, including unpaid fines related to three felony convictions. He was taken to the law enforcement center.

3:50 p.m: A man in Delong Place told an officer that another man had threatened to kill him. The case is under investigation.

4:23 p.m: A good Samaritan reportedly interrupted an apparent drug deal on Main S. Details remain unclear.

8:09 p.m: A hit-and-run was reported on Twelfth Street W. Police are trying to locate the owner of the vehicle that allegedly hit another car.

10:02 p.m: A laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle on Villard Street W. Police are reviewing security footage nearby.

September 9th

12:42 a.m: Nicholas Cruz, 28, was arrested on Southview Avenue on multiple warrants, including four related to driving under suspension. He was taken to the Southwest Multi County Correction Center without issue.

10:20 a.m: Raquel Lunstrom, 24, of Hebron, was arrested on Museum Drive on a warrant for failure to appear in the case of resisting an officer.

7:43 p.m: Lionel Garlow, 31, of Dickinson was arrested on Fifth Avenue W for disorderly conduct and obstructing government operations. He is now in custody at the correctional facility.

September 10th

5:17am: Abdulai Usman, 19, of Dickinson was arrested for allegedly making a false report to law enforcement. He was taken to the correctional facility.

9:17 am: Travis Heffernan, 20, was arrested on College Avenue for reckless driving. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

9:54 am: A wallet found on an I-94 ramp was dropped off at the Public Safety Center.

12:37 p.m: Tara Cleveland, 42, of Dickinson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had an arrest warrant for violating the 24/7 program. She is currently in custody.

1:44 p.m: Dustin Yates, 35, of Dickinson was arrested for burglary and failure to appear in court on previous charges including shoplifting and inhalation of fumes.

September 11th

4:43am: A 59-year-old man was found dead in the roadway of First Avenue SW. The investigation is ongoing.

9:38am: A mobile home was reportedly broken into on Third Avenue W and items valued at over $2,400 were stolen. The police are investigating.

11:00 p.m: A vehicle parked on 14th Street E had its driver’s side window broken in a vandalism incident.

September 12th

10:11 am: Two very young children were found in the neighborhood on 10th Avenue W. Luckily, officers were able to locate her parents.

12:20 p.m: Abdulai Usman, 19, of Dickinson was arrested again, this time for allegedly making terroristic threats. He was transported to the correctional facility.

8:10 p.m: Dana Gilbert, 54, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge.

September 13th

8:20 p.m: Gerardo Guzman, 35, of Dickinson, was served with a warrant for criminal mischief after he allegedly rammed a vehicle into a Dickinson police car, causing an estimated $2,000 to $10,000 in damage.

September 14th

1:02am: Dennis Brunmeier, 31, was arrested for disorderly conduct and menacing. He is currently in custody at the correctional facility.

8:30 a.m: Drug paraphernalia was found on 21st Street W. No further information was available.

1:44 p.m: A hit-and-run accident was reported involving a red vehicle that reportedly struck a garage on Second Avenue W. The investigation is ongoing.

4:37 p.m: Julie Aune, 33, was arrested on charges of harboring a runaway minor and child endangerment after she allegedly used methamphetamine around a 2-year-old child.

September 15th

1:17am: 33-year-old Devon Gress of Dickinson was promised an appearance on a charge of receiving stolen property.

9:13 a.m: A cyclist reported being hit by a pickup truck the day before. No further details were available.

5:49 p.m: A minor damage incident involving a pickup truck was reported on Third Avenue W. There are currently no suspects.

10:24 p.m: A burglary was reported on Meadows Drive where an ex-boyfriend allegedly attempted to break into an apartment.

11:57 p.m: A theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Broadway East. No further details were available.

September 16th

10:37 am: A man was arrested on Main S for domestic violence (simple assault) and taken to the correctional facility.

10:37 am: Ivan Perea, 32, was arrested for burglary and taken to the correctional facility.

11:58 a.m: Another man was arrested on 15th Street W and taken into custody for domestic violence (simple assault).

7:50 p.m: A theft was reported at Family Fare on First Street E. Law enforcement is currently reviewing surveillance footage.

9:17 p.m: Angeleono Dorian, 26, of Dickinson was arrested on Sixth Avenue SE on warrants for failure to appear and resisting an officer. He is now in custody.

September 17th

3:35am: Samuel Gilbert, 38, of Dickinson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended. He is currently in custody.

9:39 p.m: Harold White, 49, of Dickinson, was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of public nuisance. He was taken to the correctional facility.

September 18th

5:00 am: A hit-and-run accident was reported on Villard Street W. No injuries were reported.

5:15 p.m: Gary Keen, 39, was arrested on Dupont Street for larceny of property and given a promise to appear.

7:41 p.m: Another hit-and-run accident was reported on Fourth Street W. No further details were available.

September 19th

6:42 am: Gary Keen, 38, of Dickinson was arrested on Main S for theft of property. He was promised an appearance.

September 20th

7:46am: Gary Keen, 38, was arrested again on Dupont Street for criminal mischief after allegedly damaging over $2,000 in personal property and a residence.

2:20 p.m: Alejandro Brandys, 27, was arrested on a municipal warrant for failure to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and reckless driving charges. He turned himself in and posted bail.

6:41 p.m: A woman was arrested for domestic violence (simple assault) on Seventh Avenue SW and held without bail.

7:17 p.m: Dustin Benson, 36, of Dickinson, was cited for receiving stolen property.

7:38 p.m: Law enforcement received a report of a man hiding in bushes and yelling at passersby on Seventh Street W. The reporting party did not want the man to be trespassing.

9:07 p.m: Sonia Aleman, 50, of Dickinson was arrested on Meadows Drive on a warrant for failure to appear in court for simple assault. She was transported to the correctional facility.

September 21st

12:57 a.m: Alice Hyke, 51, of Dickinson was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failure to comply with charges related to possession of paraphernalia and unauthorized use of vehicle. She was taken to the correctional facility.

12:58 a.m: Crystal Hasley, 34, of Dickinson was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear for meth possession. She was taken to the correctional facility.

3:37 p.m: Estevan Granados, 21, of Montana, was arrested on Sims Street for affray, a misdemeanor. Along with him, 20-year-old Blake Kirkaldie was arrested on charges of affray and underage drinking. Both posted bail.
