One person injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Polk County on Sunday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jonni Melodie Krecklau, 69, of Pequot Lakes, was injured when the 2013 Ford Edge she was driving south on County Road 46 collided with a Chevy Silverado heading west on Highway 2 in Kertsonville Township collided.

Krecklau was taken to Riverview Hospital and treated for injuries that emergency responders at the scene described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the Silverado did not appear to suffer any injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, which was reported just before 10 a.m.

Officials say alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
