Police identify a man killed in a crash in downtown Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Police have identified the man who died in a crash in downtown Omaha last Friday.

Police identified the crash victim as Michael Sales, 70, of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

According to the police, the investigation is still ongoing.

Sales was the driver of a Subaru that was rear-ended by a Jeep Grand Cherokee around 1:20 a.m. Friday morning. The seller’s car crashed into a traffic light pole and burst into flames as a result of the impact. Sales was pronounced dead at the scene with two children in the Jeep.
