Mariah Carey snubbed her tragic sister before her death and reveals her close friend

Baker said: “On August 3 – after Alison was in home hospice care and knew she was dying – she told me she wanted to talk to Mariah ‘before it’s too late’.”

“I told her I don’t have a phone number for her sister, but there might still be a way to message her.”

On August 3, he tweeted: “A sad end to a tragic life. @mariahcarey’s ‘ex’ sister now receiving home hospice care.”

But the news elicited no reaction from Carey and her representatives.

In conversation with The US SunBaker continued: “The tag would have alerted her to the tweet and given her the opportunity to respond. But there was no answer.”

“Mariah says her heart is broken because she lost her sister.

“Alison was also sad about not being able to connect with Mariah as her life was about to end.”

In Carey’s 2020 book The Meaning of Mariah Careythe star admitted to her Father’s “dying wish” “My ex-sister Alison and I would talk again” before he died in 2002.

Alison, who was 63 when she died, suffered one strained relationship with the legendary singer who claimed in her memoir that her older sibling drugged her with Valium and hyped her up.

Six years later, Alison had to undergo emergency overnight surgery for a perforated intestinal ulcer, with her surgeon only giving her a better than 50% chance of survival.

But again, she didn’t hear from Sister Mariah.

Baker said: “Now, in 2024, there was a third time when the chance of survival was not 50% but 0%, and there was one final opportunity to fulfill Alison’s long-standing wish.”

“There won’t be a fourth time.”
