2024 College Football Playoff Ranking 12 Prediction – Week Five

2024 College Football Playoff Ranking 12 Prediction – Week Five

The College Football Playoff predictions have been completely turned upside down after last weekend. Luckily, Clemson is hanging on and even moved up one spot to No. 9.

This week’s CFP prediction has two new teams. Iowa State makes its first appearance after defeating Houston 20-0. The Cyclones are not an elite team, but they are 4-0 and have few to no hurdles standing in their way. If they can overcome Oklahoma State and Kansas State, they could be undefeated at the end of the season and secure a trip to the Big 12 Championship.

However, Oregon made it into the first week’s CFP prediction, but lost its spot after struggling against Boise State. It was always on the verge of making it back on the list, waiting for something to happen to give them a boost again. Well, the madness that engulfed college football last week was enough to do that.

The games that caused such a mess were Georgia vs. Alabama and Kentucky vs. Ole Miss. The first was probably the biggest game fans will see all season. The Tide outscored Georgia in the first half but nearly gave up the game with 2:31 left. But a great play by Ryan Williams on the next play turned the score in Alabama’s favor.

On the other hand, Ole Miss is on a cheating alert after its 21-20 loss to Kentucky. Kentucky isn’t a bad team, but they shouldn’t be close to the team that Ole Miss has. The Rebels improved their record by adding bad teams early in their schedule and fooled all of college football after failing miserably in their first real test.
