A 7-year-old girl was fatally stabbed by a 13-year-old sister, according to Taylor police

According to the public prosecutor’s office, the parents left the house and left the 13-year-old to look after her younger sister.

It is alleged they argued and after it ended, the 13-year-old waited in the bathroom until the seven-year-old came in and she stabbed her multiple times.

After the attack, the 13-year-old called 911.

“There is absolutely no doubt that the facts in this case are terrible. “It is beyond disturbing that the alleged individual responsible for the stabbing death of her seven-year-old sister is thirteen years old,” Worthy said in a statement.

Worthy said her office was considering charging the teen with an adult classification, meaning a judge could sentence the teen as a juvenile or adult, or impose a blended sentence, with the option of adding an adult sentence if the teen is not rehabilitated .

However, due to her young age, they decided to keep her in the juvenile justice system.

“The state would have seven years to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate her before she is compulsorily discharged at the age of 21. Hopefully she won’t pose a danger to others. Although this is a difficult decision given these facts, it is the right decision.” “That’s what you should do in this case,” Worthy said.
