A tragic accident on the Karkala Highway leaves four members of the same family dead at the spot

Udupi: Four members of the same family died on the spot due to a horrific accident between a pickup truck and a two-wheeler.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon near Hosmaru Pajegudde on Karkala-Dharamsthala-Subrahmanya highway.

Suresh Acharya (36), Samiksha (7), Sushmeeta (5) and Sushant (2) died. Meenakshi Acharya (32) was seriously injured and is being treated at a local hospital. The incident took place at Karkala Rural Police Station.
