2024 Week 6 12-Team College Football Playoff Rankings Prediction

2024 Week 6 12-Team College Football Playoff Rankings Prediction

The Ohio State football team is still undefeated after defeating Michigan State 38-7 over the weekend. It was the first Big Ten game they played this season and also their first road game. They now return home to face an Iowa team that is better than it has been in recent years.

After another win, the Buckeyes are still firmly in the College Football Playoff discussion. They are still the favorites to win the Big Ten. Nothing they did this season changed that. They remained third in the polls after Alabama fell to one and Texas fell to two.

Ohio State is currently firmly in the top 12 of the College Football Playoff. However, after a few surprises, there was a lot of movement in last week’s forecast table. Some teams have moved down while others have dropped out entirely.

Despite Alabama’s big win over Georgia, I can’t put them ahead of Texas. Given what they have accomplished with Quinn Ewers at the helm of the team, I think they are the best team in the SEC. I still believe they would beat Alabama, who almost snuffed out the game against the Dawgs after taking a 28-3 lead.

Ole Miss is the big loser. I never believed in the Rebels that much and they proved me right after their home loss to Kentucky. I don’t think they’ll ever get back to the playoffs this season. To be honest, I don’t think much of Missouri either, even though they are undefeated. But they still make it to the table this week.

I was impressed with Notre Dame’s win over Louisville, even though they had some bad turnovers. It was impressive that they kept fighting and didn’t perform as badly as they did after the game started.

We’ll learn a lot about the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon next week when the two meet in Eugene.
