Where to watch, likely pitchers for Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets doubleheader

The Atlanta Braves host the New York Mets in a doubleheader that will determine both teams’ postseason fates.

Here’s your one-stop shop for finding out where to watch the games and who will be suiting up for the Braves.

Think of it as your TV guide for the day.

Let’s dive in.

Where to watch it along with first pitch time:

The doubleheader will be televised nationally, according to ESPN MLB Insider Jeff Passan. However, the Atlanta Braves website, along with the Bally Sports TV schedule, noted that the game would also be broadcast on the regional sports network.

Likely starting pitchers:

Rookie phenom Spencer Wechselbach will once again face the Mets. Last week, he officiated the first game of the three-game series, the only one in which it didn’t rain, en route to a 5-1 Braves victory. In two starts against the Mets this season, he allowed just one earned run in 14 innings pitched (0.64 ERA).

The rest of the pitching staff is currently being determined. The Atlanta Braves’ pick for Game 2 will depend on the outcome of Game 1.

Chris Sale will reportedly host Game 2 if the Braves lose Game 1. They would turn to their best pitcher for an elimination game. If the Braves win the first game and secure a spot in the playoffs, the recently named 2024 Brave of the Year would instead start the first Wild Card game on Tuesday.

Sale is the Cy Young front-runner and would officially win the National League Triple Crown after Monday’s games – if he doesn’t completely ruin his 2.38 ERA at the goal line.

If the Braves win Game 1, rookie right-hander Grant Holmes would be a likely starter for Game 2.
