According to police, the arrest was made in connection with the Greensboro murder in 2023

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Greensboro police have made an arrest in connection with the 2023 murder of 37-year-old Lanceford Ross Williams.

On Friday, 29-year-old Travis Jamar Green was arrested by the Greensboro Police Department’s Homicide Unit and charged with first-degree murder.

According to GPD, Green was originally charged on March 1, 2023 with accessory to murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (among other charges). He has been held in the Guilford County Jail ever since.

Williams died on March 1, 2023, after officers found him with a gunshot wound at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Carolyn Coleman Way.
