1 dead, 1 critical after Canoga Park shooting

One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a shooting in Canoga Park late Saturday evening.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, it happened in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue around 11:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they discovered that both victims had gunshot wounds and both were taken to area hospitals by paramedics.

Upon arrival, one of the victims, identified only as a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead.

According to police, the second victim was treated and is now in stable condition.

Investigators have not released information about a motive or suspect involved in the shooting.
