Ellensburg resident Grant Norwood killed in car accident

The Washington State Patrol reports a fatal traffic accident west of Ellensburg.

The collision occurred just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

37-year-old Grant Norwood of Ellensburg was traveling east on SR 10. Norwood left the roadway, rolled down the embankment and became completely enveloped, according to WSP.

Norwood was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. It is unknown whether Norwood was wearing a seatbelt or whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
