Democrats use IVF as a “scaremonger”

Democrats use IVF as a “scaremonger”

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said on Fox News Sunday this week that Democrats were using the issue of in vitro fertilization (IVF) as a scare tactic for the November election.

Host Shannon Bream said: “He’s got a bit of a problem in Georgia. There he is three points behind the vice president. Part of it is the gender gap between women who say they don’t trust you or him, the GOP, on abortion or IVF issues.”

She asked, ‘How can the GOP fix this?’ Because women just don’t trust you on this.”

Britt said: “I think we’re going to continue to grow in the polls here, and as we talk about these issues and get a message out to voters, they’ll see where President Trump stands on this.” There hasn’t been a stronger proponent of IVF than the president Trump. If you think about what happened in Alabama, President Trump immediately came out and said he strongly supports IVF and he wants lawmakers to act. They acted within six days. Our Republican legislature and our Republican governors have enshrined IVF protections into law. We continue to talk about it.”

She added: “The truth is that Democrats continue to use this issue as scaremongering because IVF is legal and accessible in all 50 states.”
