Valley Club Lane shooting: 2 shots fired after argument as man drops off children at home in northeast Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are investigating after an altercation between two people near children ended in gunfire on the Northeast Side.

The situation occurred in the 10100 block of Valley Club around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. According to police, this started when a man arrived at the home to drop off children.

Lieutenant Riley with HPD said another man was in the house and the two men began arguing.

The man inside the house reportedly became upset and produced a handgun before opening fire on the second man. When the suspect began shooting, a woman who was also inside the home was injured by the gunfire, according to HPD.

The man who was shot then fled the scene near Tidwell to get help and was able to flag down officers in the area.

HPD said the suspect was arrested without incident.

Officials did not confirm who the woman was but said she was not involved in the first incident.

Both victims were taken to the hospital where they are stable.

The children in the house were not harmed. Officials did not clarify the relationship between the two victims and the man who opened fire.
