Shots fired during altercation in Eagan, victim fled to Cliff Road for medical attention

EAGAN, MINNESOTA– Early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024, an altercation occurred at a Taco Bell on Town Center Drive in Eagan, Minnesota, which escalated into gunfire, according to the Eagan Police Department. The incident occurred between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. and authorities say shots were fired during the confrontation.

The victim, who was reportedly shot in the shoulder and whose identity was not released, fled the scene around 3:55 a.m. and sought medical attention in the 2000 block of Cliff Road near Leeann Chin. Eagan Police and Eagan Fire Departments were called to Leeann Chin to provide medical aid to the victim. They only stayed there for a short time as the victim reportedly suffered minor shoulder injuries and was treated at the scene. No further information was given about the victim’s condition.

The Eagan Police Department has confirmed that there have been no arrests at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. Although there have been no arrests to date, Eagan police assured us that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to community safety.
