Ky. State Police Post 1 hosts “Coffee with a Trooper” events

WESTERN KENTUCKY (KFVS) – Talk to the state’s law enforcement over a cup of coffee at events taking place in Western Kentucky this week.

According to Trooper Sarah Burgess, the community is encouraged to meet with Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 officers at “Coffee with a Trooper” to discuss community issues at one of four different locations within the post area.

KSP Post 1 will drive around in his 1978 Ford Cruiser and chat with residents over a cup of coffee.

Check out the list of locations and times below:

  • Tuesday, October 1st from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Future Grounds at 1201 Payne Street in Murray.
  • Wednesday, October 2nd from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Café Au Latte, 1011 Paris Road in Mayfield.
  • Thursday, October 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Buzz Donut and Coffee at 4790 Village Square Drive in Paducah.
  • Friday, October 4th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Our Daily Bread at 101 Newman Drive in Eddyville.

These events are held in collaboration with the national Coffee with a Cop initiative. Since 2011, this annual event has helped connect members of law enforcement and the public.
