A teenager was killed and another was injured in a shooting on Saturday

COLUMBUS — A shooting Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of Constance Lane left one teenager dead and another injured.

The police are looking for a suspect in the case.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 3:23 p.m. and found two juveniles with gunshot wounds, a Columbus Police Department news release said. Officers began CPR until paramedics arrived.

A 16-year-old male died at the scene, while the second victim, 17, was treated for his injuries at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle and released.

Anyone with information about the case can contact CPD or leave an anonymous tip with Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151. Crime Stoppers may offer a cash reward.
