Popular YouTube zombie gaming couple at war over wild sexual assault, blackmail and grooming allegations

A prominent YouTube gaming couple known for their popularity in the online zombie community are at loggerheads over wild allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment in the wake of their ugly breakup.

MrTLexify – real name Lex Iwan – has 1.56 million followers since joining the platform in 2013.

While streaming on the Twitch platform, watching his romance with Reagan McNulty – known as Puresoftie – thrilled their mutual fans until the two apparently split two years ago after McNulty stopped appearing in his streams.

Now the relationship has fallen apart as McNulty makes explosive claims that Iwan “raised” her when she was underage to become his girlfriend.

He hit back by insisting the relationship began when both were under 18. He denies all allegations of impropriety and has not initiated any criminal investigation.

But the scandal has sent shockwaves through their once shared fan base.

Iwan is part of the so-called zombie gaming community, which plays and posts videos of itself playing Call of Duty (COD) Zombie Mode – a popular survival mode that appears in several COD titles, most notably the Black Ops series.

The allegations of Ivan’s inappropriate behavior emerged in July after some members of the community began speculating about the timing of the two-and-a-half-year age-gap relationship with his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Reagan McNulty, known as “puresoftie” or Wren on her social media .

Iwan, who did not respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment, responded to the speculation by saying his relationship with McNulty began when both were minors and accused McNulty of blackmail.

McNulty describes herself as an e-girl, a subculture heavily influenced by emo, scene and mall goth culture combined with Japanese and Korean street fashion.

When questions arose about their relationship and Iwan’s X post, McNulty wrote on July 28, “All because he lied on my behalf to direct the hatred he felt towards me.” I have that I lost the most important and formative years of my life to Lex Adrian Iwan, and I refuse to lose any more years.”

McNulty claimed the two met on January 24, 2016 at a ZHouse, a collective that comes together to play the COD Zombies mode, and met in Santa Monica.

“Lex and I met and started talking in 2016 when I was 15 and he was 18. “We developed an online relationship before meeting in person in 2017 with the intention of dating,” she said in a statement.

A year later, on July 4, 2017, McNulty said the two met in person. That night they reportedly had their first kiss while staying in the same hotel room.

The two would reportedly meet again on July 10, 2017, when Lex took them to Disneyland. McNulty claimed that Lex groped her breasts one night.

McNulty said the sexual advances increased as the relationship progressed. She said Ivan lied to his gaming friends that she was 18 and that he would try to get her drunk so she would sleep with him.

“Lex even changed my birth year on a passport for an escape room, which he, all his friends and I did together so no one would notice,” she claimed.

She said their sexual relationship escalated further on August 31, 2017, when McNulty claimed they had sex in a hotel room when she was 16 and he was 19.

McNulty, who sells explicit photos of herself on the subscription platform Passes, did not provide pictures of the hotel room but included Snapchat photos of the two together in Los Angeles, California.

“He begged me to have sex with him because it was our last night together and he wanted to return home to Canada,” she said of the alleged incident.

“The whole experience was terrible.” I didn’t want to have sex with him.

“The next morning we made up and said goodbye to each other. He had plans to come back and visit me.’

In response to these claims, Iwan released a video titled “My Ex” on YouTube in which he addressed the allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment, but did not make it clear when their relationship began.

“There is evidence that she lied when she said she wanted to turn 18 and that the only way for us to work was to also lie about her age,” he said.

Ivan said every encounter between them was consensual and there was “no evidence to the contrary.” But in a separate document he shared, he also apparently did not deny his romantic relationship with the then-underage McNulty.

In California, the age of consent is 18 and there are no Romeo and Juliet laws. This means that sex with a minor constitutes statutory rape under California law, even if the two are the same age or are minors themselves. If the minor claimed to be of legal age, the adult would still be at fault.

Iwan also claimed in that document that McNulty physically assaulted him, caused property damage and blackmailed him.

Iwan said that from August 2021 to July 2023, McNulty began blackmailing him in exchange for his silence or she would go public with her allegations. He showed PayPal transactions in McNulty’s account totaling $38,325.

He also transmitted text messages in which McNulty allegedly demanded money from him and threatened to brand him as an alleged dog groomer and pedophile.

Based on the text messages he shared, it is unclear whether McNulty demanded money in exchange for her silence.

He said this stopped when Iwan sent a cease and desist letter on August 25, 2023. He also filed a police report in Canada on July 23, 2024 about the grooming allegations that McNulty made on X.

McNulty uploaded a two-hour response video to YouTube on September 2nd. However, the video was removed from YouTube for violating YouTube’s terms of service as it contained nude photos of Iwan and her that were taken when she was a minor.

Since then, her X profile has been blocked.

Pursuant to Section 2260 of Title 18 of the United States Code, the production, transportation, possession, and distribution of child pornography is prohibited and is considered a felony.

Revenge porn is a misdemeanor in California.

McNulty could not immediately be reached for comment by DailyMail.com.
