One dead and two injured after a triple stabbing in Clapham

One person is dead and two others injured following a triple knife attack in Clapham this morning.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident on Wandsworth Road, on the Clapham-Battersea border, just after 4am this morning.

According to the London Ambulance Service, one victim died at the scene while another was urgently taken to hospital.

Wandsworth Road between Queenstown Road and Lambourn Road remains closed while emergency services attend to the incident and a police cordon is in place.

Traffic between Clapham Junction station and Clapham Old Town has been affected – three London bus routes have been diverted.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 4.07am today to reports of an incident on Wandsworth Road.”

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including emergency responders, paramedics in rapid response vehicles, an advanced paramedic, an incident commander and the London Air Ambulance.”

“Our teams treated three people on site.” Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the emergency services, one person died at the scene of the accident. One person was taken to a major trauma center and another was taken to the hospital.
