Neal McDonough says the action drama Homestead is about building community in a post-apocalyptic world

Angel Studios is known for its Christian films such as “The Sound of Freedom.”

Actor Neal McDonough, known for his role in the hit series Yellowstone, is also collaborating with Angel Studios in his new role in the post-apocalyptic survival film Homestead.

McDonough told Scripps News that the stories he focuses on are people working to create community in intense and chaotic situations.

The actor says that the projects released by Angel Studios are intended to create an atmosphere where the whole family can come together and watch these films together – even with the “edgy” parts of films like “Homestead” and other TV series.

“I love pushing the boundaries a little,” McDonough said. “Sometimes I play terribly evil characters.”

McDonough will also star alongside Sylvester Stallone in the second season of Tulsa King.
