DRAMA QUEEN: Sean McGirr upped the drama with a theatrical runway show featuring a smoke-filled catwalk and looks steeped in Irish lore.

It was the creative director’s second appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

Salma Hayek sat with husband and Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault and presented the cut of her gold sequin dress. It was deep but had hidden inserts for extra protection.

Hayek attributed the construction to fashionable elegance.

“I never thought of that,” she said, classifying McGirr’s look as “dramatic, sophisticated, but within my comfort zone.”

Hayek had just finished a photo shoot where he presented the catwalk looks. “I kept so many things for my real life. “Sometimes it’s exciting to find things that make you feel good but have that extra wow factor,” she said.

The actress has her pick of the company’s brands, but praised McGirr’s reinvention of McQueen’s DNA.

She will begin filming Romain Gavras’ Sacrifice in two weeks with WWD Weekend cover stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Evans and Vincent Cassel. Although French star Cassel plays her husband, the film will be in English.

It was The Rose’s Woosung’s first time attending Paris Fashion Week. The singer is about to release a solo album and embark on a world tour, and he’s embraced the “grungy” vibe of McGirr’s McQueen.

“They had a few outfits for us to choose from, and we immediately chose this coat, which is so beautiful and has great character,” he said, referencing the oversized’s vintage rock ‘n’ roll style artificial fur.

While getting ready with WWD earlier in the day, he revealed that the entire look was from McGirr’s first collection and included a fitted henley, studded accessories and some very elaborate shoes.

His new album, titled “4444,” moves the guitarist in an EDM direction, he said. “As a solo artist, I love experimenting with what I really like at the moment and this album truly represents who I am now and in this moment. So I’m really excited for people to hear it.” It will drop on Friday.

In the front row, Woosung sat across from Cardi B, who was making the most of her very busy fashion week, attending a show or two each day. Backstage, she praised McGirr’s vision.

“It was beautiful, it was dark, it was edgy,” she said, declaring a high-collar lace mesh dress her favorite because she knew it would look good on her body. “Give me 14 of them,” she joked.

McGirr said he dug into the McQueen archives to find inspiration for the collection, which focused on Irish banshee folklore. The show took place at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, where the building’s original tile floor was recreated, only to crack it and insert a steel-coated catwalk by artist Tom Scutt.

“There are many treasures in the archive,” McGirr said, including unused fabric remnants and unreleased accessories. “I’m always looking at these little details and how we can incorporate them into the collection.”

Cardi B also loved the final look, a windswept silver sheath with intricate beading and a headpiece. “I can say it’s very, very hard, but damn it, it’s fashion. I would wear it.”
