Check out highlights from Hermes’ Nadege Vanhee’s Spring/Summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week.

For her spring-summer runway show on Saturday, Hermès designer Nadege Vanhee sent out a parade of cropped mesh tops and calfskin coats in shades of tan, a line that was briefly interrupted by three animal rights activists.

The show began with a series of bright, beige looks – baggy pants, sheer tops and a suede coat tied at the back – when the first protester from the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) burst onto the runway, holding a sign, which calls on the label to stop using exotic skins.

She was dragged out a side door by security just before the next model arrived, dressed in a buttery leather bomber jacket paired with high-waisted culottes.

Security guards grabbed another protester who soon jumped onto the runway and hustled her out the same side door in time for the next look — a sheer ivory top that matched the model’s pants and handbag.

The parade continued with long, sheer skirts with zippers that reached the thighs, bright pink dresses and belted outerwear.

When a third protester suddenly appeared, the audience gasped. Her appearance was also short and the show went on.

It’s not the first time PETA protesters have targeted the French label known for its coveted Birkin bags, versions of which in exotic skins have been known to fetch hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction.

Paris Fashion Week, which began on September 23rd, features dozens of brands including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Chanel and Victoria Beckham and ends on October 1st.

Earlier this week, PETA also targeted the Dior show over the brand’s use of feathers, with only one protester taking the runway very briefly.
