The Dhi Qar Criminal Court on Sunday sentenced a drug trafficker to life imprisonment for involvement in drug trafficking.

The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council reported to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “the convicted person was arrested with one kilogram and fifty-two grams of a mixture of methamphetamine and aluminum sulfate, as well as 225 amphetamine tablets intended for trafficking and distribution to users.” “

The statement continued: “The judgment was issued in accordance with Article 28, paragraph 1 of Law No. 50 on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 2017.”
