Commanders at Cardinals tips and predictions

forecast

Cardinals 34, Commanders 30

Money line

Offensively, the Commanders are on a roll as they haven’t punted or turned the ball over in their last two games, scoring on 13 drives and running out the clock on three other drives.

But they were bad defensively. They rank 31st in passing yards allowed per play (7.7) and 30th in rushing yards allowed per play (5.1). The Cardinals showed what they can do when they can move the ball in Week 2 against the LA Rams.

Washington won’t be able to stop the Cardinals, so they’ll have to keep up, and Arizona will get a stop or two. Arizona held Detroit scoreless in the second half of last week’s loss.

But the moneyline at -185 for the Cardinals isn’t a good bet, so go with the spread.

HAPPEN.

Against the spread

The Cardinals are 2-1 ATS this season. Considering Washington’s defense, this could be a 1-point game if Washington can continue to protect the football (they have no turnovers in 3 games), but that’s almost impossible with a rookie QB in 4 straight games, so there’s that very possibly an Arizona blowout.

BET CARDINALS -3.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The Cardinals have scored 28 or more points twice and the over has scored in two Cardinals games.

The Commanders have allowed at least 3 touchdowns in every game this season and over 30 points in 2 of 3 games.

BET OVER 49 (-110).
