Cyclist dies after accident on public road number 28

A 61-year-old cyclist died in an accident on Public Road No. 28 on the West Coast of Berbice yesterday.

Dead is Standford Benjamin of Number 28 Village, West Coast Berbice.

The accident involved car PZZ 7256 driven by Malcolm Nurse, a 65-year-old resident of New Amsterdam, Berbice; and the pedal cyclist.

Investigations revealed that around 2 p.m. Benjamin was driving west on the public road while the nurse’s car was following him.
