Social drama based on true events, will be released on October 4th

The trailer and music album of the upcoming Tamil film Seeran directed by filmmaker Rajesh’s former assistant Durai K Murugan have been released by the makers. The film, based on true events, is scheduled to hit theaters on October 4th.

The upcoming film Seeran is produced by James Karthik and M Niaz and directed by Rajesh M’s former assistant Durai K Murugan. Debutant James Karthik plays the lead role. The makers released the trailer and album of Seeran, which is touted to be a commercial entertainer that talks about social inequalities. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 4th.

The trailer shows that the film is set in Tiruvanamalai and the villagers pray to the local deity. However, the flashback shows a tragedy with a violent past that prevented the temple festival from taking place. We also see the protagonist returning to the country. With a blossoming romance, lots of action and drama, the trailer ends with a speech about equality.

According to the makers, the film is based on true events. James Karthik has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film. He also produced the film and played the protagonist. Debutant director Durai K Murugan has directed the film.

The film also features popular faces like Ineya, Soniya Agarwal, Aajeedh, Krisha Kurup, Aadukalam Naren, Arunthathi Nair, Sendrayan, Aariyan, Pichaikkaran Murthy and Pariyerum Perumal Venkatesh among others. The shooting of the film took place in and around Vellore and Chennai.

The technical team includes cinematography by Bhaskar Arumugam and music by Arvind Gerald and Sasitharan. Zubin worked on the background music and Ranjit Kumar took care of the edits. Artistic director S. Ayyappan, lyricists Snegan and K. Karthik, choreographer Baba Bhaskar and stunt coordinator D. Ramesh have also worked on the film.

Seeran hits theaters on October 4.
