Apartment block, six private buildings damaged in enemy attack on Zaporizhia

Russian forces carried out massive air strikes on Zaporizhzhia from 5:25 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday, injuring at least four people.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Preliminary reports indicate that four people were injured and one of them was rescued. A high-rise building and six private houses in different parts of the city sustained significant damage. “Several fires broke out,” said the state rescue service.

According to rescuers, a woman could be trapped under the rubble of an apartment building.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing. The consequences of the attack and the number of private houses damaged are being clarified.

Around 42 rescue workers and nine equipment units are involved in dealing with the consequences of the enemy attack.

Police officers, bomb disposal experts, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Rapid Response Unit and other affected city services are working on site.
