Authorities arrest man for allegedly stabbing woman near Hollywood gas station – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

HOLLYWOOD, FL. (WSVN) – Police’s search for a man allegedly responsible for stabbing a woman in Hollywood is coming to an end.

According to Hollywood police, the incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. on September 12 in the area of ​​South Federal Highway and Moffett Street.

A woman was violently attacked and stabbed multiple times.

7News cameras captured police officers assisting the victim. They were seen applying pressure to her wound and examining it until the Hollywood Fire Department arrived. The victim was later seen with a bandage around his neck.

Firefighters transported the victim to a nearby hospital but has since been released. Despite her long road to recovery, she is expected to do well.

Detectives from the Hollywood Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit and Street Crimes Unit were able to identify the suspect as 42-year-old Chason Williams from surveillance video.

On September 26, Williams was arrested by Hollywood detectives and charged with attempted first-degree murder.
