Joshua Johnson dies in a two-vehicle collision at Bruton Road and Pleasant Drive in Dallas

Joshua Johnson killed, passenger injured in two-vehicle crash in Pleasant Grove

Dallas, TX – One person is dead and another is hospitalized after a two-vehicle high-speed collision at an intersection near Pleasant Grove, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The fatal accident occurred at Bruton Road and Pleasant Drive around 6:30 p.m. on September 27th.

According to police, 22-year-old Joshua Simeon Johnson was driving east on Bruton Road and turned left onto the 2100 block of Pleasant Drive.

A high-speed crash kills Joshua Johnson and injures a passenger on Bruton Road

According to police, 25-year-old Steven Castrejon was driving a pickup truck westbound at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the passenger side of Johnson’s car.

Dallas Fire Rescue took Johnson to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old passenger in the pickup was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said Castrejon was arrested and faces one count each of manslaughter and aggravated assault.
The incident remains under investigation.
