1 person has been arrested following a stabbing in Etobicoke

One person is in police custody following a double knife attack Saturday night in north Etobicoke.

The incident occurred in the Mount Olive-Silverstone-Jamestown neighborhood, near Mount Olive Drive and Kipling Ave.

Toronto police said they were called to the area at 9:22 p.m. after reports of a stabbing.

They said a man was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, while a second man, also taken to hospital with unknown injuries, was arrested.

Police have not identified this person or outlined what charges might be brought against him.

The circumstances that led to this incident are currently unknown, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
