YPD responds to fatal shooting on Prospect Way

At 4:45 p.m. the day of the incident, Yakima Police confirmed to KIMA Action News that the second victim, the 47-year-old woman who was transported to a Seattle hospital, had died from her injuries.

–ORIGINAL STORY–

YAKIMA – Yakima Police responded to calls regarding a domestic dispute after shots were heard at a home on Prospect Way around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

When YPD arrived on the scene, two adults were discovered with gunshot wounds. One of the victims – a 43-year-old man – was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other – a 47-year-old woman – was transported to Seattle for treatment with life-threatening injuries.

Detective Janis spoke to KIMA Action News at the scene and confirmed that no one else is being sought in connection with this incident.
