One dead after crash on State Highways 90 and 30

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Department of Public Safety is investigating a crash that killed one person on State Highways 90 and 30 last Wednesday.

According to DPS, it happened around 12:56 a.m. An 18-wheeler traveling south on SH 90 stopped at the intersection of SH 90 and 30. A Nissan traveling west on 30 ran a stop sign and struck the trailer in which the 18-wheeler was being towed.

The driver of the Nissan, a 17-year-old woman from Sheppard, died. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.

No names were released and DPS said the investigation is ongoing.
