At least one injured, dog rescued from car after crash on I-10

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – First responders believe everyone involved in an interstate crash Friday will survive.

Crews with the Crestview Fire Department said they and the Holt Fire Department were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 10 near mile marker 52. Images from the scene of the accident show that a car was crushed between a concrete barrier and a tractor trailer. They said a helicopter was called to transport a patient who reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reported that a dog was rescued from the car and cared for by officers. They added that all westbound traffic on I-10 was diverted onto Highway 90 as the scene of the accident was cleared.
