1 found dead in a home on Jamerson Forest Circle

COBB COUNTY, Ga – One person died in a house fire in Cobb County Friday evening.

According to the Cobb County Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 4700 block of Jamerson Forest Circle after receiving reports that the fire was fully engulfing a home.

The emergency services began fighting the fire and a search was carried out in the house. There was one person inside at the time. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters remained on site to extinguish the fire and eliminate any potential sources of fire.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Cobb County Police will release the victim’s identity once it has been confirmed and next of kin has been notified.
