Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence was targeted by a drone strike following the assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar

A drone strike from Lebanon targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea this morning, a Times of Israel report said, citing the prime minister’s office.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara were not at home at the time of the attack, it said. No injuries were reported in the incident. The drones, which were allegedly flown in from Lebanon, were shot down by the Israeli military and triggered sirens in Tel Aviv.

The reported attack on Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence came two days after Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar was killed in an Israeli strike in Rafah, Gaza.

Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the people of Gaza on Friday, October 18, saying the war will end as soon as Hamas agrees to lay down its arms and return the hostages.

Netanyahu shared a video on X and said: “Yahya Sinwar is dead. He was killed in Rafah by the brave soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces. While this is not the end of the Gaza war, it is the beginning of the end. I have a simple message to the people of Gaza: This war can end tomorrow. It can end when Hamas lays down its weapons and returns our hostages.”
