Police arrest suspect in deadly Waterbury shooting

WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a Waterbury mobile home park earlier this month.

Early Saturday morning, police said Fabrice Rumama, 20, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder. According to police, on October 14 he shot and killed Shawn Spiker, 34, of Croydon, New Hampshire.

The shooting occurred at the Kneeland Flats Trailer Park in Waterbury.

Vermont State Police say no one has been charged in the shooting death of 57-year-old Michael Perry of Waterbury.

Rumama is currently being held without bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County Court on Monday.
