Odds, tips and predictions for Miami at Louisville

The 6th place Miami Hurricanes (6-0, 2-0 ACC) meet the Louisville Cardinals (4-2, 2-1) Saturday at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (ABC / ESPN+). Let’s analyze the 24/7 college football odds from BetMGM Sportsbook Miami vs. Louisville Opportunitiesand make our college football picks and predictions.

The Hurricanes survived a scare at home against Virginia Tech on Sept. 27, and it took a reverse Hail Mary call to escape the upset. At Cal, Miami won 39-38 and was the beneficiary of a no-call that appeared to be an obvious targeting call against the Cal QB. A 1st down would have secured the victory for the Golden Bears.

Miami’s offense was strong, scoring 38 or more points in every game and taking the over with a score of 5-0-1. The defense has allowed 36.0 PPG in the last two games, both league games.

Louisville beat Virginia 24-20 on the road last weekend, but failed to establish itself as a 7-point favorite. In fact, they are 0-3 against the spread (ATS) in their last three games after going 3-0 ATS in their first three games. The lower team came into the money last week, but the upper team was 3-1 in 4 home games.

Tips and predictions for Miami and Louisville

forecast

Miami 38, Louisville 27

Money line

Miami (-210) will cost you more than twice your potential return, which is a bit too expensive for the away team, even if they are the sixth-ranked team in the country.

Louisville (+170) is a tempting play at home, and it would be the play if the Hurricanes didn’t get a bye. The Canes should be rested and fired up, so don’t expect any surprises here.

AVOID.

Against the spread

MIAMI-5 (-110) is a strong game on the street. The U had permission to rest its bumps and bruises, so the Canes should be in good health and shape for this road trip.

Louisville +5 (-110) opened the season 3-0 ATS but failed to cover its final three games. The Cardinals just don’t seem to have the offensive firepower to keep up with the high-flying Canes.

Over/Under

OVER 60.5 (-110) has performed well in all of Miami’s games so far this season, going 5-0-1 so far. The Canes have scored at least 38 points in all six contests, including 130 points in three road games, or 43.3 PPG.

Louisville has scored 24 or more points in three straight games, which isn’t bad, while posting 28.3 PPG over the three-game span. This type of defense won’t be enough against the Canes, but it’s good news for over bettors.
